Dear Parents and Carers

 

 

 

 

Fair trade coffee morning

 

THURSDAY, 28TH FEBRUARY  to

 

Coffee, tea and delicious cakes made by Year 5 (all fair trade products – of course!) will be on sale in the school hall from   Any profits will go to Fair trade.  Year 5 will also be selling fair trade goods including pencils, purses and chocolate on behalf of RISC (Reading International Solidarity Centre).   Please support this event.  During the day each class will be given the opportunity to visit the Fair trade sale.  As a rough guide the cost of goods will range from 50p to £3.00. 

 

 

 

 

World Book Day – March 6th 2008

 

World Book day is Thursday, 6th March.  Every child will be given a £1 book token which is valid off purchases made between 3rd and 30th March in bookshops participating in the initiative.

 

 

 

 

Tesco Computer Vouchers

 

The school will be collecting Tesco vouchers again this year.  Last year we collected vouchers for a new PC and monitor for a classroom.  Vouchers are available from 3rd March. 

 

 

 

 

Forthcoming dates

 

Monday, 3rd March                  Final payment date for Mill on the Brue residential

 

Tuesday, 11th March                Year 5 visit to Waitrose Food Awareness Event -information will be sent home shortly

 

Wednesday, 12th March           Year 4 Hampton Court Visit

 

21st – 24th March                     Easter Bank Holiday Weekend

 

Tuesday, 1st April                     Year 6 Height and Weight Measurements by School Nurse - information has already been sent home to parents in year 6. 

 

 

 

 

Finally …….

 

We have received information from Thames Valley Police that a man of asian appearance,  driving a white van has been seen acting suspiciously outside schools in the Bracknell area.  We have spoken to the children in school about this but ask you all to be vigilant and report any concerns or sightings to the police.
