12 May 2008 - KS1 Newsletter Summer Term 2008

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe it is the summer term already!  We are looking forward to a busy and exciting time over the next few weeks.  Our topics for this term are as follows:

Elm: Growing plants, Butterflies and Around the World.

Cedar: Seaside past and present, Variation and habitats and puppets.

The children are encouraged to bring in items that are relevant to their topics for show and tell.

P.E.

We will be doing P.E. outside wherever possible, so children should always have their plimsolls or trainers with them.

P.E. days are as follows:

Elm:    Thursday and Friday

Cedar: Tuesday and Wednesday

Elm Class – Please note the change in day and remember PE kits will be needed on a Tuesday for Playball Club.

Please ensure that all P.E. kits, uniforms and other school items are clearly labelled to avoid lost property trauma!

Despite recent weather, we are hoping for hot and sunny weather soon!  When this happens, please could you ensure that your child brings a water bottle to school that is clearly named.  Pop up tops are preferable.  The children should have a sun hat to wear and sun cream applied before they come to school as we cannot apply it for them.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to a happy and successful term.
