It would helpful if you would complete the attached Kitchen Order form if your child will be having the 1960’s dinner so that we have an idea of numbers for ordering.   Please return the slip by Friday, 27th June.  The cost of the lunch will be the normal 2008 price of £1.75!

There will be no hot school lunches available on Sports Day but a packed lunch can be pre-ordered from the school kitchen if required.  Please see attached order form.

Change Over Day 21st July

Children will get the opportunity to meet their new teachers and visit their new classrooms on the morning of 21st July. All teachers will be on the playground at to meet and greet new parents, so please take the opportunity to say ‘hello’. The children will then line up in their new classes to go in. The children will spend the morning in their new classrooms, returning to their normal classes after lunch. You will be informed of your child’s new class teacher by letter with the end of year report.

Car parking in roads near the school

The parking outside the school is continuing to be an ongoing problem.  Wherever possible we would encourage you and your children to walk to school.  If you have to drive please be mindful of the children’s safety and park safely and legally respecting the resident access in the surrounding roads.  The police have visited the school several times at pickup time and are extremely concerned about the congestion and parking and report that there is little sign of improvement.  They have indicated to us that if the only way to improve the parking situation in roads around the school is to issue ‘tickets’ to owners of vehicles parked illegally, they will do this.

Cycling

It is good to see our new covered cycle shed provided by Bracknell  Forest being well used with cycles and scooters.  Please note that pupils must have passed their Cycling Proficiency Badge to cycle to school unaccompanied.  All cyclists must dismount from cycles and scooters at the entrance of the school and walk to the cycle sheds.  We want to avoid cycle and pedestrian accidents in the school driveway!

After School Club

The After School Club is now well established in our school.  The Club recently had their Ofsted inspection and were classed as a ‘good’ provider of after school care provision.  The Club will have spaces available in September.

The After School club has places available Monday – Friday for only £7.00 per session.

Includes drinks and a healthy snack.  A wide range of activities are offered.

The Club is run by fully qualified staff and accepts childcare vouchers.
